In 1969, Rip Curl began as a small garage business by Doug "Claw" Warbrick and Brian "Sing Ding" Singer in Torquay, Australia. They grew quickly, opening their first shop called "The Bakery" and eventually becoming the top surfboard and wetsuit company with sponsorships from pro athletes.
Rip Curl's expansion across the globe to popular surf destinations including Malibu, California led to the youth of the west coast embracing their brand. Although the original Malibu shop has closed, 3 Sisters Design Co. has recreated a nostalgic piece of the past for all to enjoy!
